Training:
He runs on average 80-90 miles per week with a long run of 16-18 miles once per week. He likes to keep a little leg speed during the summer and fall by doing 100-150 meter strides 1-2 times per week mostly after med-long and long runs. He runs over hurdles once per week during an easy/recovery day, and hurdle walk overs/ drills once per week. Strength is the key philosophy to Pete's training so they do a lot of longer tempo/ fartleks, throwing in quick 1500-2000m pieces at the front of a track session to "put some junk in your legs".
